AUF DEEL Competition Initiating Student Entrepreneurial Journey at Azm University!

More than 50 Azm University students showed their interest in the Student Entrepreneur AUF “DEEL” national competition, and actively participated in the information session, organized by the Azm University Entrepreneurship Center (AUEC) on January 18, 2022.
Mr. Hani Mawlawi, director of AUEC, highlighted the importance for students to participate in such competitions with full commitment, allowing them, while developing their business ideas, to gain some entrepreneurial and soft skills, both of which are badly needed in the 21st century. In addition, interested students can apply to get the “Student-Entrepreneur” National Status, validated by the Ministry of Higher Education, after satisfying some course requirements and pitching their developed business ideas in front of a national jury.
Towards the end of the session, Mr. Mawlawi interviewed Azm University architecture alumnus and first holder of “National Student Entrepreneur Status”, Zahi Halabi, who shared with the audience his entrepreneurial journey in addition to offering some advice, lessons learned, tips, and pitfalls to avoid.
For the fourth year, aspiring student entrepreneurs from Azm University will participate in this national competition, which gives them the chance to win € 1,000 per team and 6-month business incubation for the best 6 business ideas among the finalists in all participating universities in Lebanon.
