Two Azm University instructors participated recently in a workshop on the safety for journalists organized by the Samir Kassir Foundation , in collaboration of the James Foley Legacy Foundation.

Mohamed Missilmani and Robin Eid shared their expertise with the organizers in formulating recommendations and suggestions for a curriculum designed to cover the topic of journalist's safety.

The James W. Foley Legacy Foundation has developed journalist safety curricula for both undergraduate and graduate schools in order to better prepare future journalists for their profession.

James Wright Foley  was an American journalist and video reporter abducted on November 22, 2012 while covering the Syrian civil war, and was executed by decapitation on August 2014 purportedly as a response to American air strikes in Iraq, thus becoming the first American citizen killed by the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS)
