Harfouch Shares His Entrepreneurial Journey at Azm University.

The Hult Prize Azm University team hosted Entrepreneur Mohamad Harfouch, co-founder of the Columbus and WinnerForce clothing brands, in a fireside chat on December 6 moderated by Mr. Hani Mawlawi, director of the Azm University Entrepreneurship Center.
Well-attended by students, faculty members and staff, the discussion revolved around how Mr. Harfouch decided to create his own business, and how it evolved from a simple work at home, using a sewing machine, to a large factory in Tripoli, selling remarkable clothing brands,
Mr. Harfouch also shared some of the challenges he faced throughout his entrepreneurial journey and how he managed to overcome them with constancy and commitment. He encouraged aspiring student entrepreneurs to find their passion, pursue related business ideas, look for what the market needs and try to fill this gap with innovative solutions. Finally, Mr. Harfouch advised students to “Never Give Up” as an entrepreneur’s journey always includes ups and downs.
The event motivated many students who are now interested in joining the Hult Prize 2023 challenge with the main theme as Redesigning Fashion. This was clear given the students’ responses to the three polls run during the discussion to gauge their interests.
