CULTURALLY-LED REGENERATION OF TRIPOLI'S HISTORIC CITY

PUBLIC LECTURES SERIES / SPRING 2018

ARCHIDES / AZM UNIVERSITY

SYNOPSIS
Following the triple actions of Mapping / Exploring / Creating as the main research tools held during Fall semester 2017 at ARCHIDES, and implemented through the "Design for Culture" Course and the two Workshops, we continue this investigation for this Spring semester by broadening the view toward other similar case studies, adding a fourth complementary action:

Learning.
The Learning action exposes the audience and the Public Forum participants to different case studies of culturally-led urban regeneration, oscillating between the local, the regional, and the international context.

This year’s Public Forum invites several Speakers to share their professional and academic experiences in regenerating historic urban centers from various cities: Arch. Mohamad Hamouie, Dr. Marwan Basmaji, and Dr. Maround Daccache.
